New Graduate Members may access employment-related advice, support, and representation in accordance with Membership, Processes, and Indemnity Provision Policy including:

  • Support in relation to:
    • Disciplinary proceedings 
    • Capability and sickness absence matters 
    • Redundancy processes 
    • Allegations of misconduct

  • Support in accessing continuing professional development within the workplace

New Graduate Members have access to:

All employment-related advice, support, and representation is provided at the discretion of UMAPs and subject to eligibility, timeliness of membership, and compliance with relevant policies. UMAPs does not guarantee representation or financial assistance in every case.

Clarification of Scope of Support

Support in relation to misconduct, disciplinary, or performance matters under this membership is limited to employment-related processes only. This membership does not include access to Discretionary Secondary Indemnity Cover (DSIC).

All support is subject to the Membership, Processes, and Indemnity Provision Policy (MPIPP).

Payment Plan

Rate: £20 per month

Payment method:

  • 12 monthly instalments
  • yearly upfront (10% discount)

New Graduate Membership is available for a maximum term of 12 months and may only be taken out once by any individual member.

Members are under a continuing duty to notify UMAPs when they reach one year post-qualification. Upon reaching this point, members will be required to transfer to an alternative eligible membership category, including Essential Membership, Comprehensive Membership, or Career Gap Membership, as appropriate.

This membership will automatically terminate at the end of the 12-month membership term and will not renew automatically.

Failure to disclose a change in eligibility status, including failure to notify UMAPs upon reaching one year post-graduation, may result in the membership being declared void. Where membership is declared void on this basis, UMAPs may decline to provide advice, support, representation, discretionary assistance, or access to any associated membership benefits.
